Today was the Denver Colfax marathon. The start/finish line is a block from my house so I went and watched all the runners finish. It made me really want to do this. So the 2009 Colfax marathon is the goal and then the San Francisco marathon.
this is gonna be real tough. But I'm excited to try this.

Okay, you CAN do it. If you haven't run a marathon before, check out Runner's World's website for a training plan, basically it's run 4 or 5 miles a day, except one day on the weekends when you do "long slow distance," start with 6 miles, then 7, then 8, etc ... before you know it, an 18-miler will seem like a day off!
You pretty much peak at 21 miles in training.
But yes, you CAN do it.
go get'em
You can do it! Check into the Galloway Group or Rocky Mountain Road Runners or any of the local running clubs, you'll get people to train with. My other favorite is the Irish Snug running group... beer and spaghetti dinners after your weekly run! : )
